Slow Cooker Applesauce
Makes 12 servings | Gluten free and dairy free
Step 1
6 apples
½ c. water
2 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp maple syrup
3/4 tsp vanilla
Directions:
- Peel and core apples. Chop into chunky pieces.
- Place in crockpot.
- Mix together water, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla. Pour over apples.
- Cook on low for 4 hours or until soft.
- Mash with a hand masher to make chunky-style applesauce or use a hand mixer for smoother applesauce.
- Transfer to mason jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
